University of St. Thomas

Education & Extracurriculars

  • Major: Business Administration

  • Concentration: Marketing Management

  • GPA: 3.8

  • Honors: Beta Gamma Sigma member, Top 10% of my class, Candidate for Magna Cum Laude

St. Thomas has given me numerous educational and extracurricular opportunities. The Business Administration Core Courses provided me and my peers with a strong background in accounting, finance, management, and most importantly for me, marketing.

Some of my favorite classes that I have completed so far have been Principles of Microeconomics (ECON 252), The Legal Environment of Business (BLAW 301), Intercultural Communications (COJO 370), Managerial Accounting (ACCT 215), and Marketing Research (MKTG 340).

Club Tennis

At the start of my senior year, a friend (shout out to Helen McDonnell) told me that there was a new Tennis Club at St. Thomas. However, I learned it was tryouts for the Club Tennis team and not Tennis Club. Despite not knowing what I signed up for, I somehow made it on the team. We are currently in the early stages of the season and we haven't had any matches yet. However, I have enjoyed every minute of practicing with the team and am looking forward to the upcoming season!

ROLL TOMS!

My time at St. Thomas has been nothing short of amazing. I am very fortunate and thankful for the opportunity to go to St. Thomas.

Some of my favorite memories involves

different "Tommie Traditions."

One of my favorite traditions is the annual Tommie Johnnie football game. Freshman year, my friends and I got decked out in our St. Thomas

gear to go to the game. Tommie Johnnie was amazing

my first year because the Tommies won 20-17

and I met my now roommate at the game.

Another one of my favorite "Tommie Traditions is running through the St. Thomas fountain. St. Thomas has a large fountain outside of the Anderson Student Center. The tradition is to run through the fountain at the start of your freshman year.

I love this tradition so much that I have done it multiple times. At the end of our yearly training for Tommie Ambassadors, the Admission team puts on a relay race for the different cohorts within our team. The relay race ends with us smashing a frozen t-shirt into the fountain until we can put our heads and arms in the t-shirt. I love doing this because I get to run through the fountain but I also get to compete, which is one of my favorite things to do.

Another time I ran through the fountain was during the summer between my sophomore and junior years of college. It was the summer before I left for my semester abroad and I really wanted to make some great memories with my friends. That evening we decided to go run through the fountain on campus and took some pictures to remember it. When I was sad to come home from my semester abroad I thought about that day and how excited I was to see my friends again and return to St. Thomas.
