My summer internship at Thomson Reuter was nothing short of incredible. When I accepted the offer in November 2019, I had no idea that the internship would be completely virtual and I would not be able to go into the office. When I learned that the internship would be online, I was disappointed but very thankful they were continuing with the internship. However, the virtual internship was better than I could have ever imagined.
I was on the Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Team and my hiring manager and team members were absolutely amazing. They gave me work they knew I could handle but also still challenging. They gave me the opportunity to create the ABM Team's first ever paid social media campaign on LinkedIn and I could not be more thankful for the opportunity.
My fellow interns were all fantastic and some of the most hard working students I have ever encountered. Even though we were online, we had weekly meetings with other interns and every Monday at 1 PM we had the "Intern Mafia Game." Through those games I got to learn a lot about my peers and know them better than I would've had we not had those games.
Overall, my time at Thomson Reuters was absolutely incredible and it gave me a strong foundation for the start of my career!
